Hitu ada empat kimalaha.  Kimalaha2 itu dibawah kapitan Hitu, dan Kapitan
Hitu langsung dibawah Ternate.  Kapitan Kakiali adalah kapitan hitu yang
penghabisan.  Dia menyelundup.  The Dutch bribed a Spaniard from Ternate
who defected to Ambon.  They bribed him to kill Kakiali.  The Spaniard
knifed him at Hitu.  Then the Dutch outlawed the office of Kapitan Hitu,
and the four kimalaha fell under the control of the Dutch.  The Sultan of
Ternate opposed.  Tulakabesi should have been the next Kapitan Hitu, and
that is what the Sultan of Ternate wanted.  The Sultan protested,but the
Dutch ignored him.  The Hitu people raised Tulakabesi,and the sultan was
in favor.  The Dutch sought Tulakabesi, but he had built fort Kapahaha.
The Dutch overran the fort, which Tulakabesi had believed impregnable, in
the night, and killed Tulakabesi.  Wawane was a fort on Hualmual. Van den
Heuvel attacked Wawane, but failed to overthrow it. The representative of
Ternate was Sabada.  Sabada was against the Dutch.  Van den Heuvel was
removed,and replaced by Van Deutecom and Gijzels, 1635.  The attack by Van
Heuvel took place in 1634.  The newarrivals,a Van Diemen, the
governor-general of south, came with a great army in 1636, and he
succeeded in capturing Luciela, and returned to Ambon.  Then he went to
Hitu.  But Hitu refused to receive Belanda.  The Dutch had taken Kakiali
to Jakarta at the time.

Kapahaha fell in 1644.  Kakiali died in 1643.  Tulakabesi replaced him,
and died in 1644.  Raraket was a fort captured by de Vlaming in 1649.  The
location of raraket is unknown.  There is also a fort named Loki in Hitu,
which fell about 1651-1652.  From Loki,the defenders fled to Manipa.  Fort
Asahudi, on Hualmual fell in 1655.
