Welcome to old Gorom!
The first document on Gorom is one I transcribed from a manuscript by the late government administrator Patisahusiwa, whose son, Bakri, was a friend of mine in Namlea.
I also once found another manuscript on Gorom written using Arabic script sometime in the 19th century. This one was at the Perpustakaan Museum Nasional, in Jakarta, about 1971; but it seems to have vanished into thin air.
I have never had the pleasure of visiting Gorom, but I would like very much to do so because of the seemingly rich cultural fabric that leaks out in these writings. --Chaumont Devin.
