M. Atihuta on Sirisori: Sirisori Serani was populated from New Guinea. The old name was Soli. The story goes like this: There were three brothers and two sisters that started off by pakatora from Fak-fak. Their first destination was Cape Hatumari, where one brother dissembarked and entered Islam. He lived at Tamilou. The other two brothers and two sisters were still in the old religion, and wouldn't join. But before departure, all three brothers drew blood from their fingers, mingled it in a coconut shell, and all drank, making a vow of brotherhood where their descendants couldn't intermarry for all generations. This place they named "Hoti-banggai," which means, "the place of blood-drinking." From there the brothers departed (minus one), and arrived at Banda, where they dissembarked, and met Sapol, who joined their company with his pakatora. These men were all kapitans. From there, they went on and arrived at Sirisori, on Saparua. ***** End Devin material. The following found on the Internet on Monday, July 5, 2005:
